I'm not sure what to make of this. I found a different angle on youtube (closer, from microphone's left) that clearly showed him resisting the police. (Never a good idea to run or shove a cop when they're trying to arrest you). I don't understand why they tried to escort him out, though, from the youtube videos it looks like the cops didn't like the question, and I hardly think waving his book around can be construed as threatening. I just read an article on CNN though (it's at the top of their page at the moment) that gives a different angle on it; he'd gone up to the microphone after they'd stopped allowing questions, and yelled questions for over a minute. The CNN report seems to indicate it was a stunt; he'd made sure his friend was taping him before he started speaking, and his demeanor changed completely once he was out of view in the cop car.
Honestly though, I don't see why 5 officers needed to taser. Dude, 5 vs. 1. He couldn't be that strong.
I wasn't there, but basically what I'm hearing is that it was completely out of line. John Kerry was going to answer his questions and allowed him to continue his questions after time was called; that was his called. From what I understand, the group that brought Kerry in turned of Meyer's mic when he used the word "blowjob" and then Meyer started yelling to be heard. The cops didn't like the question, and they started grabbing him. I mean, he may have resisted, but he suddenly had all these cops attacking him. It's so absurd. And what I'm seeing on national reports are INSANELY different from what's being reported here. I'm kind of astonished.
