Heh, most of you guys won't care, but it is a suuuuper huge deal to me.

(Don't feel bad for skipping, though, cause it really is kind of pointless.)

So... here's a little background. My grandmother has four daughters: Mary, my mother Debra, Amy and Julie. Mary has three daughters: Carolyn, (Little) Amy, and Jeannie. Carolyn has two daughters, Chloe and Christine.

My mother has two daughters, me and my sister. Amy has one daughter, Briana, and my aunt Julie has two daughters, Katie and Caroline.

(We also have lots of overlapping names.)

So... there are many girls. Fifteen girls, three generations. I always depended on... this so that I would be assured that I would have daughters, because... I have no idea what I would do with a son. Anyway, when my cousin Carolyn had two girls, I was super excited, because it obviously meant whatever charm we had going for us was holding and we were going to be an Amazon tribe yet.

Anyway, my cousin Briana gets knocked up, and she had to get married this weekend because she's having a baby... I think in February. All along, I've just... I've known she was going to have a boy. I just knew. And because I knew that, I also know that it means I am going to wind up having four sons (... ahhh) because now it's gone and we have three generations worth of girls to make up for.

So, my mom calls me. "BOY." She says, and I go, "I knew it- wait. Didn't you already tell me this?"

"No," she says, "Mary just called me. She told me not to tell anyone cause she's not supposed to know."

(Don't all families work that way?)

"Really? Because... I knew. I thought you told me- I must've dreamt it."

"You have realistic dreams a lot."

"I do. Boy?"

"Boy."

"I knew it."

Heh, I love family stories like that.

And it's so true; within large families nothing is ever kept secret, no matter how much it's supposed to be. All information gets round everyone at such a speed, and then one person will call you and mention it and you'll be so confused as to how they knew about it so quickly.

I never realized how fast info got around in my family before this. It was awesome.

Hee! Oh, that's so cool. Except now the charm is broken, but it's still so cool.

But it is! It's one of those interesting family stories. :)

And perhaps you might like having boys, just a crazy thought. ;) It reminds me of all the weird stuff in 100 Years of Solitude, which is a Weird Book.

I love that book!

... and now I'm a bit disturbed.

(I do not want boys. I want girls. I have plans. Daughter plans.)

Heh, that's funny!

I'm so going to laugh at you when you have a son and you love him to pieces. I think you would be good with a boy and a girl (or any mixed-gender combination, really).

I'll have to love him to pieces, I won't have a choice!
