Sep. 26th, 2007 10:55 pm- Dear Wes Anderson, I love you for putting "Hotel Chevalier" on iTunes for free. Really. I love you A LOT. I love you, Jason Schwartzman. And I want to know moooore.
- I am in love with three songs from commercials. One is "Sway," which I think it done in the commercial by Michael Buble, but I have the Rosemary Clooney version and looove. The second is Regina Spektor's "Musicbox" and it is amazing, and it would be my favorite if it weren't for Ingrid Michaelson's "The Way I Am," which is my current favorite song.
- Except now Peter Sarstedt's "Where do you go to (My Lovely)" might overtake it.
- I think I'm going to talk to an advisor tomorrow about changing my major.
- This also means I'm going to really up my game in French.
- Also, my test scores are dismal.
- But my Spanish teacher is delightful.
- I hate Season Five of Alias with a burning, fiery passion. It makes me so sad. My roommate thinks Vaughn is really dead, so she's super disillusioned, and I'm like, we have to finish! At least so that she knows that JJ didn't... entirely screw us over. Only mostly.

*high fives* That's my situation now too...my appointment with my advisor is tomorrow. *sweatdrops* :3
It was evident that JJ was focusing on "Lost" and not "Alias" that point...I don't even know how involved he was, but I don't think he wrote/directed many episodes that season. Also, the chemistry was just off with Syd and Vaughn in S5. I heard rumors that Jennifer didn't want Michael to come back - I'm not sure if this is true or not, but if it is, that's quite unprofessional in my opinion. I try not to let the real life sad ending of Gartangate to affect how I view S/V, but it's hard.

Date: 2007-09-27 12:31 pm (UTC)As for Gartan, the way I heard it, hee, was that Vartan wanted out of his contract around season 4, but no one would let him. That, among the whole we-just-broke-up-and-now-Ben-Affleck-is-around-all-the-time, is why Sydney/Vaughn is so damn awkward for awhile there (plus, I think they're meant to be, but I can feel something off in general). So, when season 5 rolled around, and all things on the Michael Vartan front were a-okay . . . Alias/ABC/etc. honored his previous wish and killed him off. :P
But I definitely agree with you, season 5's chemistry was just not there. I think Jennifer was ready to move on and have her baby, and Michael had been off the show and then had to come back (for what, like, 4 episodes? I forget) . . . and, yeah. :(

Date: 2007-09-27 12:43 pm (UTC)I guess we'll never know what happened between Jennifer and Michael. It must have been awkward as hell having Baffleck on set though. And without knowing any celebrity party personally...I see no appeal in Baffleck whatsoever. :P
S4 to me was weird as well. I like S1&2 the best, and 3 was pretty good. But then the story just got messier and messier, and it felt like they were trying to tie up a zillion loose-ends up at the end.
