Well, I am thoroughly charmed by Eli Stone. Entirely. I think it's actually pretty good, I laughed at the dialogue, I enjoyed George Michael, and HOLY LORD VICTOR GARBER. He is made of so many kinds of win. So very many. But I did feel a bit dirty watching him hug another little girl because... Jen! :(

So, yay, Eli Stone!

I liked it! I didn't love it, but a lot of the problems I had with it could just be pilotitis. It was funny, beautifully shot and had a fabulous cast, of which Victor was only the most incandescent part. And I didn't mind Natasha as NotSydney nearly as much as I expected to.

I must acclimate to the name Jordan Weathersby, though.

Is it too early to hope for Jordan and Mrs. Weathersby to break up so that Victor Garber can have banter with Pamela Reed?

I didn't think OMG NEW FAVORITE SHOW, but it was pretty decent. And after 'Justice' I was kind of expecting to have to look at the ceiling and think of England.

I have a prejudice against Henstridge anyway, so her being NotSydney just upset me. Plus, her kneejerk reaction to an aneurysm was "LATERZ" so... you know. Booo.

AHA. The mother was Pamela Reed. I don't... she is not worthy of SpyDaddy. No no.

The name Jordan Weathersby is pretty awful. But you can't beat Jack Bristow.

The actress who portrayed Eli's mom, wasn't she Johnston Green's wife on Jericho? She was one of my favorites until I ran out of gas with that series after about a dozen episodes.

I'm curious. What about the pilot didn't work so well for you?

Oh, definitely two thumbs up for me. The cast is wonderful, the storyline a bit procedural at times, but quirky enough to be fun and interesting. Like you, I thought the dialogue both entertaining and funny. "Don't you whisper yell at me." Isn’t Eli's secretary a hoot?

VG was wonderful and I think the role of Jordan Wethersby suits him perfectly (much better than his last outing as a high powered attorney did), though it was a bit odd to see him smile so easily. He looked divine as well -- that sport coat and black button down nearly did me in.
