sunshine_queenI'm not so sure that it's natural that songs should get such strong associations?
Example? Sitting on the computer when No Doubt's 'It's my life' comes on VH-1. Do I think, oh, look at Gwen kill off her husband? No. Instead I think, and Julia Thorne sashays down a little Italian street in a trench coat- sashay, Julia, sashay!
I listen to my CDs, my own mixes, and I'm stunned at what songs make me think of. Entire CDs seeming to be related, in some manner, to Han and Leia. Newer CDs, whose songs are all associated with Alias. Certain songs always make me wonder about A/X. Years later, certain songs make me think of Moulin Rouge, of Titanic, of North and South, for God's sake. How weird.
Bored. Boooooored. It's Good Friday and it's boring and I'm hungry and I've only ingested 430 calories today.

And there's lots of other's, I just do that with songs too.
