It's like the last night I'll have internet for forever and, of course, there is absolutely nothing going on. And I'm depressingly dependent on my links on my laptop so using a Hoppe computer and AOL sans my normal links (but full of ones from my AOL days- SW and Titanic and Alias fic links, the HMs' message board, the link to the webpage where you take the drug and alcohol course to get your learners' permit) is pretty fruitless. Unless I want to read Syd/Vaughn fic all night, which... I might. Oh Alias fics, you light up my life.

Yay! I read the ficlet. It is hard for me to provide a bridge without knowing what you had in mind when you started it. Is this about getting Nadia in a costume? About getting Jack at a party?

That's the problem right there. I get the prompt, costumes, and I think, oh, I need to get Syd in a Wilma Flintstone costume (because... of course.) And then suddenly Nadia's a flapper and Jack's showing up and of course it's got the WWBHy undertones because <3 and it's just like, oh, well... now he's talking to Syd and Nadia is presumably brightening someone's life with her presence. And normally I'd just be like enter enter enter and a few lines down I'd have them in bed or something cause that's how I roll. Bridgeless.

I really do fail at like... establishing a relationship between people, mostly because I usually write for pairings where the relationship is already established. So I'm always like Nadia and Jack are together, proceed. Only here I feel like they're clearly not together, yet, just... intrigued. But I don't know how to bridge intrigue to sexy times.

But I still wouldn't know how to proceed with them. Would they just be fooling around after their mission was accomplished and they were in the clear? An established relationship-type thing or just starting or arg.

What you do is get Jack and Nadia into a compromising situation. One where they are not fooling around but WANT to be. Then see what comes up.
