So, I like Boston okay. I'm not suuuuper wild about it, like I am about New York, but it's pretty and the weather's been lovely. I know I'd like it more if I knew more about it, but I suck. Yesterday when we were walking, we tried to make a list of things we knew about Boston. Here are some of the highlights:

- Harvard, BU, BC, etc.
- Ben Affleck
- Matt Damon
- Red Sox
- Irish people
- Boston tea party
- Boston creme pie
- Kennedys

and that's about it. I would've researched it more thoroughly, but surprise trip + lack of internet = little preparation. However, I've now decided to become a Red Sox fan, if only because I have no baseball affiliations and that one sounds good. And I now have a Red Sox shirt.

I did get to meet the lovely kerlin for breakfast! She took me to a real Boston pub for really delicious pancakes and we walked around a bit and she showed me her work. Then I went to find my family and no one answered their phones until I was like, back at the hotel, and by that point my feet hurt so now I'm back at the hotel.

Two of my three new roommates have contacted me! They seem pretty nice.

Haha, whatever you do, don't tell J that you're a Red Sox fan, no matter how arbitrary your decision to become one may have been. Whenever we go out together and see someone wearing Red Sox paraphernalia, a little bit of him dies inside. It's hilarious.

YAY that you got to meet kerlin -- that's awesome! :) That was the first time you two have met, right?

And glad that the roommmates seem nice!

Ha, I will meet J in my Red Sox shirt. I'll be like "Bonjouuuur, J'aime les Chassettes Rouges." In french. That's right. Who does he like, them yankees?

I thought they might, because they were friends on facebook, but then I realized they might have just gotten one another's names. So I don't know. I'm hoping not, so I'm not the awkward fourth wheel.

My cousin Briana is a rabid Yankees fan and she's appalled that I'm now a Red Sox fan.
