So, I am in Gainesville! The drive up was mostly okay- only fifteen minutes of torrential, blinding rain- but the weather here is lousy. As in, I've been drenched all day and there was nothing I could do about it.

My apt is ENORMOUS. My room is huge- and, like, I have an exorbitant amount of stuff, right? And this room like, gobbles my stuff up. My clothes look like a mere pittance in my closet. I have more dresser drawers than I have clothes. My nightstand drawers DON'T EVEN HAVE THINGS IN THEM YET. The room was in pretty decent condition when I came in- we disinfected it a bit, and the bathtub has some weird stains going on, but nothing too heinous, and I'll definitely be okay once I get some Clorox going on. I also met the one roommate I hadn't talked to on fbook, and she seems really nice. I still need to put up my posters and stuff, but it seems pretty homey already. Pictures soon, and I mean it this time.

Storms are expected to continue indefinitely (arg) and I feel like an idiot for laughing at my mother's offer to buy me wellies a few weeks ago. Although at this point, I feel like wellies would be like a joke to Fay, because it's seriously "Hey, y'all, get some wood, we're building an ark" weather.

That's so awesome! I'm really jealous. My room is pretty small and I feel like I don't have enough space. You're so lucky!! I can't wait to come by and see the place!

Catherine is staying until the 30th. Jillie unfortunately had to go home because some family issues came up. Catherine and Jillie were suppose to leave on Tuesday, and then the two of them were going to be in NY for a few days together, but since Jillie canceled, Catherine couldn't go to the city alone, so now she's staying here until it's time for her to move into her dorm.

Are your other roommates not there yet? Are you living with three other people or just two?

Aw, I'm sorry about Jillie. But at least you get more quality Cathbear time! (HI CATHBEAR.)

One girl, Amanda, got there today. She lived there last year, so she didn't have too much to unpack. I have two other roommates, both of whom are supposed to arrive tomorrow, Fay-permitting.

Yeah, but poor Cathbear. I feel so bad for her, because, Madi, I'm so sick! It's like everytime she visits Ollie, she gets a free batch of germs!

Well, yes. Nyquil to sleep and Daytime Tylenol during the day and echinacea with every meal. If I'm still sick on Monday, I'm going to go to the infirmary.

Chelsea was suppose to come on Tuesday for a meeting for her college, but it was canceled because of Fay. Then, she was going to come on Thursday, but didn't... because of Fay. Now she's not coming up until Sunday! And that sucks for me because she's got the toaster oven and I don't like microwaved bagels!

So do all your other roomies know each other?

Amanda and Esther know each other from last year, but I think Jessica is new like me. But we'll see.

Glad to hear you got up to school safely! :D (I'm surprised the school couldn't delay a few days on account of teh evil Fay). And yayness for a big room. You can never have too much room. :P

We were sure they'd cancel school on Monday, if only because it's a real pain to get here this weekend, but it looks like no. :(
