So, yesterday I went to to the bank to deposit some money my mom had given me. In an bout of stupidity I can't even believe I was capable of, I put into the computer a denomination one hundred dollars less than what I had in the envelope. About two minutes after I put the envelope in to the ATM, I realized my mistake and went into the actual bank. I talked to someone, who said that they'd check the envelope before they put it into my account and that it'd be fine.

Fast forward to today. I check my balance online... and lo, I am a hundred short. Because someone fucking pocketed the one hundred dollar bill I so helpfully GAVE TO THEM WITH MY STUPIDITY. So I reported it to Wachovia and they're going to like, investigate it, but I really don't know what's going to happen, and I am like, sick with worry. It's not the end of the world or anything, but it's a hundred dollars.

Ugh, that totally sucks! Hopefully it'll work out and they'll fix it. Try not to let it upset you too much, though. I know it's a lot of money, but it's only money, right? :)

Oh, that sucks. :( Do you remember the employee you talked to? They might remember speaking to you.

Or you could submit a deposit and state that you have $100 over what's in the envelope and hope they don't notice. Then you'd be even. :P
