So, I'm rewatching season three of BSG and I get to "A Day in the Life," where there is Papadama/Lauroslin flirting. So I'm squeeing and generally being fangirly, as is my way. So my mother says, totally seriously, "Do they have a real romance, or is it all in your head?" See, what she means is, do I ship them the way I shipped Jack/Nadia, or the like, because I'm a nutball. I told her that no, they really love each other like burning, and she pauses and says, "Is theirs a tragic romance, or do they make the best of a bad situation?" I find my mother delightful.

HAHAHAH, I LOVE IT. I'm showing my Mom the series, and we're on season 3 now and I don't think she's even picked up on the Laura/Bill shippyness. Even with all of my hints. Fail, Mom, fail. Non fangirls just don't understand.

Meanwhile. It has been forever since I watched that episode and, omg, it is so PRECIOUS. I love their flirtinggg.

My mom can see if it if it's there, or predict it, cause she's a soap watcher, but, um, I oftentimes ship things that aren't real, and she's only seen the miniseries and part of Unfinished Business. (The only parts of UB she remembers is what went down between Thracer and Lee. Her anger at that is hilarious. She actually brings it up angrily from time to time.)

You should watch it again! They are delightful.

The idea of Adama/Roslin flirting makes my heart do a little DANCE! Oh, I can't wait! It's weird, like, I'm usually so preoccupied with my crazy bitches Gaius and Six that I am not continually consumed by Adama/Roslin love or anything, but then when they're randomly amazing together it's just like being PUNCHED, but with WONDERFUL, and I just feel like I need to bounce around and beam insanely and maybe cry. They're so wonderful. Like, their scene in Resurrection Ship Part 1 happened out of NOWHERE and I was just like, "Oh my God, you guys, you guys, YOU GUYS, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME, AAAHHH, EEEE, AAAAHHH!" It was so good and I just so did not even see it coming a little bit! O THEM.

Gosh, I have so much more to watch. I'm torn in terms of my feelings about this because on one hand, I want it to go on forever, and on the other hand, it's such a pain to live in constant fear of spoilers, because damn it, this show is too twisty and ingenious to get spoiled for on anything, damn it! I just don't know how to feel!!! Besides FILLED WITH LOVE.

Also: hahahaha, your mom is awesome. And clearly well-versed in your complicated shipping history.

I am trying very very hard not to spoil you, and it is difficult cause I was to be all "AND WHEN X HAPPENED TO Y ON Z AND A WAS A CRAZY MOTHERFRAKKER AND SHIT GOT RAW LIKE SUSHI" but then I'm like must not spoil Nita so I even try not to use spoily icons.

My friend Yubs just told me that they kissed for the first time at the end of 2.12, so I was waiting for it and then it happened and it was so much greater than I ever could've dreamed of and GOD DO I LOVE THEM. SO MUCH.
