I totally agree. It's clear that she was brought on to be the hot robot girl, and then it turned out that not only could she act, she was actually amazingly talented. (Sorry to gush! She's my favorite of all!)
I know. I was amazed to find out she hadn't had any real experience before! James and Tricia are the most talented ones IMO. (But then I might be biased.)
It really is kind of insane, especially since one of her few roles before Battlestar was literally silent. She was there emoting her little heart out, but I don't think she had a single word of dialogue the entire time. (It helped that she was dead and only seen in flashbacks.)
In my opinion, James and Tricia are two of the brightest stars of the show, but it's almost hard to pick. ALMOST EVERYONE IS SO TALENTED. (I'm a bit biased too. It's hard not to be.)
I knooow! They're so precious. When I saw this the first time I think I sat transfixed for like, five minutes. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DARLINGS IN THE WORLD.
(Also, I know this isn't news to you, but that fact that they're all so distinct is the greatest thing ever. Tricia, how are you so magic?)
In that gif it's kind of easy, because they're all wearing distinct outfits (or, in Caprica's case, distinct lack of outfit) but even if they were all wearing standard Six gear you'd be able to tell them apart because Caprica wears her wounded heart on her face, and Shelly is the bright A student, and Natalie is not taking any of these shenanigans in stride, and Gina is so hurt and Red has her own agenda, and they're all like that. Lida is innocent and Sonja is driven and Faith is damaged and HAD THEIR BEEN MORE SIXES THEY'D ALL BE DISTINCT AS WELL. Magical!
She poured her heart and soul into the role, that's how, and she fought to make them all unique and really did everything she could to make every single one different and researched and studied and stood up to the writers, because she is the most fantastic and dedicated and wonderful! ♥ ♥ ♥
It really is. If you're ever in a multiple Six situation where there's no defining outfit or Caprica's not standing with someone you know to be her buddy, that's how you can always identify her, bless. I want to hug her always.
