What's that? You guys don't want to hear about how much I love Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman?



No, but seriously, has a more perfect series ever existed? IT'S MEDICINE ON THE FRONTIER. It combines procedural medical drama WITH THE FRONTIER. I can't even! Also, ALSO, BYRON SULLY. For those of you not on twitter, I have my first ever TV Boyfriend, and his name is Joe Lando, thank you very much, and he is so good looking even with his crazy mountain man hair and he wears kind of weird outfits but then sometimes he walks around without his shirt and oh my, when he throws a tomahawk? HOLD ME BACK. He is entirely too good looking. The show isn't messing with us either- like, Michaela has a dead fiance, and Sully has a dead wife and baby, but they're not like WILL THEY/WON'T THEY it's more like, OH THEY WILL, JUST NOT YET. And I'm okay with that because Sully rescues Michaela on the regular, and it's so natural it's like breathing. It's like his first thought in all situations is "Is Dr Mike okay?" and oftentimes his answer is obviously, "I don't know, so I need to find out for myself," and this is sometimes his answer when Michaela is, IDK, in a room operating, so clearly she's fine, but he still waits outside the door because that woman gets into scrapes like it's her job and Sully just rescues her and I SHOULD PROBABLY BE A BIT MORE BWAH, DR QUINN, SAVE YOUR DAMN SELF, but instead I am like *swoon*. (This isn't to say that Michaela doesn't rescue Sully a fair bit. He injures himself a lot.)

Suffice it to say, this show is really entertaining me and god bless whoever put all of season one (at least, I hope the whole show is up please dear lord) up on youtube because it is wonderful. Highly recommended!



Today is the first day it's actually rained since I've been in France, and it's kind of sad because it was sunny this morning and it's been grey ever since and I haaaate this kind of weather and it is freezing in my room but apparently the heat is supposed to come on tomorrow? I hope so.

I observed three classes today- only three weeks later than everyone else!- and it was totally chill. In one class I literally introduced myself, waited to see if the students had any questions (two, under duress: one was 'why France?' and the other one came after I told the students to make sure to tell me if I was speaking too fast, and the kid asked me to speak fast and I did and apparently no one understood a damn thing I said because they all started cracking up) and I was out in about ten minutes. My schedule is pretty good, too- no classes on Monday, hooray!

OKAY, SO, I came across Dr. Quinn, The Complete Series DVDs at Barnes & Noble or something months ago for like $30, and for that brief instant, I felt such overpowering temptation. Basically: one day I am probably going to watch this show and love it way too much, so I'm happy you're paving the way!

And, aw, your classroom times sound really fun so far. :D

Oh man, Dr Quinn. I loved that show. Still have to sit and watch it whenever I find it on a random tv channel! I have not stopped being in love with Sully since then. Also, never get tired of him rescuing her; it's adorable.
