sunshine_queen: Tricia being fierce, as always. (Kwyzthal- SpyFam)

So, Nita totally rocks with her Arcadia recap. I think the main reason I loved that episode was The Pink Lacoste Shirt. Because the Dustbuster Monster scared me. Just ask Nica.

Went to see 'Closer' with Becca tonight, which was nice. First, the ass at the window didn't want to sell me the ticket because I didn't have ID proving I was 17. That I am not is unimportant. The fact remains that no idiot has ever done anything so stupid. I got attitudey, Becca demanded the supervisor. Got into the movie. Stupid peons.

I got the best java chip frappachino in the whole wide world at Starbucks. Ah, Starbucks. Te quiero.

Anyway, 'Closer' was really, really great at some parts and really disjointed in others. I was amazed at how much I hated 3/4ths of the characters. The only one I liked was Natalie Portman. And it hurt me the hate Julia, because I adore her, and it hurt even more to hate Jude because he is just. so. pretty.

And what's stupid and sad is that I have been in love with the song in the previews for months, and they played it at the beginning of the movie and then at the end, and I still didn't figure out until it specifically stated it in the lyrics that the song was 'The Blower's Daughter' by Damien Rice. DUH.

Anyway, we left, and we got stuck in the parking lot from hell that wouldn't let us out. Again, Becca was resourceful and brave and got us out. I <3 Bec. She made me Hannukah cookies! Mm.

Then she came home with me and we chatted with my parents about edumacation and colleges and stuff. Becky wants me to go to Emerson (?) or Georgetown- preferably Georgetown- for political science. BSH-WEEE for her, because she wants to go to Dartmouth.

And, gakked from [livejournal.com profile] non_horation ...

Step 1: Get your playlist together, put it on random, and play!
Step 2: Pick a line or two from the first 25 songs that play.
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song the lines come from!
Step 4: Cross out the songs when someone guesses correctly!
P.S: using a search engine is cheating.

1.And so it is
The shorter story
No love, no glory
No hero in her sky
"The Blower's Daughter" Damien Rice

2. You fondle my trigger
then you blame my gun

Milky thighs you'd like to sample
Vocalize to her example
Deep, illegal sighs - Oh! It's a scandal

never know how much I care
When you put your arms around me,

I could never let you go.

After you leave me and go home
She doesn't know that we can't let go
And it's hurting me so

"It's so easy" Sheryl Crow & Don Henley

7. Drop of a hat she's as willing as
Playful as a pussy cat
Then momentarily out of action
Temporarily out of gas
To absolutely drive you wild, wild..
She's all out to get you

8. i've beared witness
to this place, this lair, so long forgotten

9. We'll run until she's out of breath
She ran until there's nothin' left
She hit the end-it's just her window ledge

"One Headlight" The Wallflowers

10. It's plain to see it's trying to speak
cherished dreams forever asleep

"Endlessly" Muse

11. Demolition woman, can I be your man?
Razzle 'n' a dazzle 'n' a flash a little light
"Pour Some Sugar on me" Def Leppard

12. I´m not much of a man
By the light of day
But by night I´m one hell of a lover

"Sweet Transvestite" Tim Curry

13. Tell me you love me
Come back and haunt me

14. Same old story, not much to say
Hearts are broken every day

15. It's wonderful, wonderful
Oh, so wonderful, my love

"Wonderful, Wonderful" JOhnny Mathis

16. love is an angel disguised as lust
here in our bed until the morning comes

17. Throwing out your frown
And just smiling at the sound
And as sleek as a shriek
Spinning round and round

18. Drowning in her own visions,
When she's begging the past to stay behind.

19. I need some distraction
Oh beautiful release
Memory seeps from my veins
"Angel" Sarah McLachlan

20. Oh, so yellow..
Oh, so mellow..

"Mellow Yellow" Donovan Frank

21. And as I still walk on,
I think of the things we've done
Together, a-while our hearts were young.

"Runaway" Del Shannon

22. Late at night when you're not sleepin'
And moonlight falls across your floor
When I can't hurt you anymore
"Please Remember Me" Tim McGraw

23. But like heaven above me,
the spy who loved me,
Is keeping all my secrets safe tonight.

"Nobody does it better" Carly Simon

24. And I'll hide from the world
Behind a broken frame
And I'll burn forever
I can't face the shame
"Sunburn" Muse

25. And raise my glass 'cause either way I'm dead
Neither of you really help me to sleep anymore
One breaks my body and the other breaks my soul

Dude, I had, like, the same reaction to Closer. NP? A-freaking-mazing. Between this and Garden State, I'm remembering why I'm a fan of hers.

And you're right, 3/4 of the characters were extraordinary dumbasses, especially my beloved Clive Owens, who they made me hate. Bastards.

And I got *carded* going in to see Bridget Jones 2 the other week. Carded. I'm 20. I do not look sixteen. I didn't look sixteen when I was that old. Movie people are teh stupid.

I don't get it. Like they EVER check anything in the theatres.

I wish the movie had been better. At the beginning I was ready to make it my favorite movie.

My sister works at the theatre, and they're actually required to card anyone they think looks younger than 21.

They never check anything here except tickets on busy nights to make sure that people aren't theatre hopping.
