*is still stunned*
Dec. 17th, 2004 03:59 pmI am like, aghast. Agog. Slack-jawed. Stunned.
I had a good day. I went to school, I got a lovely birthday present from Natalie ($15 to the movie theatre, those hannukah chocolate coins and a dreidle, 'cause I'm not jewish) and Mary Poppins from Tommy. Had a great time in Barkow 'cause we worked with Hess's law and that rocks on, and I gave cards to everyone to Addy because she left early. It was a great day.
Then I come home, and Nica's package is there.
So, I rip it open. Read her card, then open the package that's partially open. It's The Best Movie Ever (The X-Files movie, for those of you who didn't know) and a couple of DVDs with recorded episodes of XF. In the letter, she detailed many episodes... more than there were DVDs.
No matter. Called Nica to squeal, and left her a message. Mommy said I couldn't open the other package.
Came online, and lo, Nica was there. She demanded that I open the other package.
She sent me Season One of the X-Files, guys.
Season One.
On DVD.
For me.
I can't even process it. It's MINDBOGGLING.

Date: 2004-12-17 09:26 pm (UTC)And, crazily, I let someone borrow my season 1 DVDs today. So, it's like . . . I lost them (well, temporarily), and meanwhile, across the country, you gained them. It's balance within the universe! Or something equally wild and crazy!
I may be just a bit giddy about the fact that I don't have to go watch the stupid basketball game and can instead remain in the computer lab. Hence my insane behaviour.
But still.
Whee!!!! . . . 1
