Dec. 31st, 2004 01:02 amAlright. Lots of things happened today!
I went to the gym and worked out like whoa. Rowing machines, while making me feel SpyMommy-esque (because of the arms, friends, and back, and shoulders) hurt like a mofo. Within a few minutes. But treadmills are fun! My heart rate is much faster than apparently everyone in the whole wide world's. Hm.
Came home and I got my package from Hanny and a card from Stee! Poor Stee was on medication for her wisdom teeth when she wrote it. Thanks, love!
Hannah-banannah sent me the Sarah CD 'Surfacing' and then a surprise copy of the Snow Patrol CD and Coldplay's 'Parachutes'. I adore you!
Started watching the X-Files DVDs Nica gave me, Season One. I only had 'Conduit' to watch on the first DVD- holy binary codes, Batman! And I so totally called that. Thanks, Alias!
Dana! Was! So! Cute! Mom and Mel settled down to watch them with me, and that was the majority of our comments. Isn't Dana adorable? And Mulder was cute, too. They looked like babies!
Then we started the first one on the second disk- The Jersey Devil- and Mom and Mel were totally freaked. And Dana called Mulder a jerk, and then immediately jumped to correct herself. Ah, Dana. I love you. EVEN IF YOU DO HAVE A DATE WITH SOME DIVORCED DUDE. (*sigh*)
Then Daddy came home, and since the meat Mommy had wanted to cook had turned blue, or something equally disgusting, Mommy decided to call me on my Christmas present to her- dinner and movie.
Momma and I went to eat at Johnny Rocket's, which was nice, and we played songs we liked, and our server flirted with me, and then we shopped around forever, because we had dinner at seven-thirty and the movie wasn't until 10:05. I bought a calendar of alcohol ads, but I probably will use their date pages and put my Alias calendar pages over it because I will DIE without my Alias calendar. I love it so.
We saw Ocean's 12, which was no where near as good as the first one, but not the travesty of The Princess Diaries 2. It was good, and the girl next to me wore leg warmers. Hee.
Of course, there was a model of the museum. And, per usual, my mother had to say, "What is this? A museum for ants?" To which I replied, "How can they be expected to rob the bank if they can't even fit inside the building?"
(We <3 Zoolander too much)
And now we're home, and Melanie hates us. *sigh*
And was any homework done? Nope.

Date: 2004-12-30 10:51 pm (UTC)All I remember from Jersey Devil: Dana's date, her horrible outfit, "I thought you said he was cute," and "...and look who's holding the door." :P Gillian's only like, 24-25ish at this time (whereas Scully is about 28), but I swear she looks 17, hee. I think Duchovny is seven? years older than her, but Mulder's only three. :P
Leg warmers? Oh, my. The eighties were so TWENTY YEARS AGO. :P
