Feb. 6th, 2005 01:41 pmFinally home. And thank you, my lovelies, for your encouragements.
So, Dad randomly decides to leave. Friday morning I got three phone calls from my carpool, asking where I was, which I declined to answer, so Maddie and Natalie came to my WINDOW and knocked. I had to shoo them away.
We left and drove alllll the way to Orlando, which was an adventure, since Dad is about the worst person you can have in the passenger seat and Mom's never had to drive to Orlando before 'cause Dad always does, so that was an adventure... then we were just... there.
As in, no plans. No real reason for being there. Just stuck, in Orlando. For no good reason.
So, that night we ordered pizza, and Mom and I watched 'Salvation' and 'The Counteragent' (quelle coincidence, Kerlin!) with Mommy and Mel. I was utterly homicidal towards Mel, 'cause it was her fault we were there.
Saturday we shopped. That was it. I got a coach keyring, and a belt, a scarf and two pins from aeropostal and Juicy Couture flipflops. So, yeah, outlets rock. But I was still stuck in Orlando.
We saw Tio Oscar's house, which was nice- really, extremely nice, as in magazine-house nice and then we had a huge altercation with Dad. We being the entire family. *sigh*
We watched 'A Mighty Wind' last night which was absolutely hysterical, and then we left super early this morning, and now we're home, thank god. Because it was your average, fun-filled, god-help-us-all, homicidal family vacation. (Can't I go with the SpyRents to Kashmir? Please? I'll be good.)
I'm spending the night at Carolina's tomorrow, which will be fun, but I miss home. I want to be home.
Plotted a few fics in my head while driving, but they probably won't get written, and I'm totally obsessed with the song 'Ophelia.'

Date: 2005-02-06 12:28 pm (UTC)In any case, you survived! And maybe the SpyRents will let you tag along to Kashmir next time. ;-)
And Ophelia is gorgeous. And, like the majority of the other songs on that album, so Alias. And . . . Natalie Merchant is the best. You totally need to hear Effigy, Life is Sweet, and Thick as Thieves too. Or maybe just all of them.

But on a bright note, Jen won the SAG. ;)
