I know you have all missed me terribly, especially with my awesome meme, but I've actually had like... work and stuff to do. I actually have to finish an assignment still before I leave for class, where I have a presentation about a guy who is in love with a panther but still has a more meaningful relationship than a guy who married a girl without knowing her, BUT I needed a break, so!



Lauren Graham is delightful. She's like a real-life Lorelai. And Craig Ferguson! He is just wonderful.

Day 12 → Whatever tickles your fancy

Apparently 'whatever tickles my fancy' translates into "youtube videos" but I have no regrets.



This is literally one of my favorite things ever. Like, if I am bummed out about something, listening to this makes it better. The Discovery Channel was amazing to make it.

AND THEN THEY MADE ANOTHER ONE. IMO, it's not as delightful, but just the fact that it exists makes me happy.



The brilliant katamaran78 made a version for BSG. It is one of the greater things of my life as well.

My favorite line of the two is "I love hot magma!" What is yours?

My day has been this big weird blur of exhaustion and rain! (And joy- I worked today with the four year olds, and got called "pretty teacher" and "beautiful teacher" no less than four times. I DON'T CARE IF THEY'RE LITTLE A COMPLIMENT IS A COMPLIMENT.) So here is a big giant awesome meme.

My favorite song ever of all time is Edelweiss. When I was a little girl, I would go to preschool and sing it every. single. day. And even now, when I was thinking about my favorite song, I was agonizing over my decision- Elton John! ABBA! Bear McCreary!- and then an ad for The Sound of Music came on TV because it's playing this weekend on ABC Family and it was like a magical bolt of inspirational lightning. It makes my heart swell up with joy and a pride of my nonexistant Austrian heritage.

JUST LISTEN TO IT. It's amazing.

I don't know if you got the memo, but I love BSG.

Okay, all I have to say about this is TRICIA WAS IN A MUSIC VIDEO THAT I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT, WHAT?!



I lied, I have other things to say:

- The song is actually pretty good!
- I approve of the story of the music video
- I really approve of any band who has a music video concept of "let's have some BSG fan fight guys off so he can see Tricia." (It's like that vid Penelope Cruz's brother made, wherein he had his sister make out with Mia. You have to admire people who can include beautiful celebrities in music video for no particular reason.)

I seriously wish Tricia Helfer was in everything, and by everything I mean all TV programs that I watch. Dr Six on Greys! Jackie D's new girlfriend on 30 Rock! A... sassy defense lawyer on SVU! (Not a victim, though. That'd be no fun.) A GUEST JUDGE ON ANTM. A... something on Bones, I don't even care. THE MOTHER ON HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER. Seriously, just give me more Tricia that doesn't involve Two and a Half Men.

Dear youtube gods,

Thank you so much for having Canada's Next Top Model Cycle One. Through you, I can enjoy not only a modeling show, not only the awesomeness that is Mr Jay, BUT I CAN ALSO HAVE MORE TRICIA IN MY LIFE.
