"Seriously. Jesus started the whole wait-three-days thing. He waited three days to come back to life. It was perfect. If he would have only waited one day, a lot of people wouldn't have even heard that he died. They'd be all, 'Hey, Jesus, what up'? And Jesus would probably be like, 'What up? I died yesterday'. And then they'd be all 'Uh, you look pretty alive to me, dude'. And then Jesus would have to explain how he was resurrected and how it was a miracle. And then, the dude would be like, 'Uh, okay, whatever you say, bro'. And he's not going to come back on a Saturday. Everybody's busy doing chores. Working the loom, trimming their beards. No. He waits the exact right number of days: three. Plus, it's Sunday, so everyone's in church already. They're all in there, 'Oh no, Jesus is dead'. Then, bam! He bursts through the back door, runs up the aisle. Everyone's totally psyched. And, FYI, that's when he invented the high-five. Three days, Ted. We wait three days to call because that's how long Jesus wants us to wait. True story."

So fandom secrets did this thing today where they only posted nice, happy secrets, and I honestly felt like so many of the secrets could've been written by me (or by my subconscious when I was like, sleepwalking.) I very rarely read f!s and think, "oh! so me" so to have it happen a bunch of times in one day was delightful.

On a less upbeat note, I had a dream last night that I was a Cylon. "But Madi," you say, "You love Cylons! How could that be a bad thing?" I will tell you: in the dream, I was with my babies from work, and I was walking outside with some of them, and these two guys muttered as I walked by that I shouldn't be allowed to be with the kids because I was a robot.

And I was so appalled, because I love my babies, there was no reason for me not to be allowed around them, but for some reason these strange guys were around the whole afternoon, muttering that I was a toaster and kids weren't safe around me. And it was so heartbreaking to hear, because I couldn't help it, dammit, and I was so not a danger to anyone, let alone my babies. (Also, I was a Six- Shelly Godfrey, to be precise.) At the end of the dream, parents were picking their kids up, and none of them said anything, so I don't know. It was just very sad to be discriminated against, and to have racial epithets used in my presence. :(

In final, awesome news, ON SUNDAY I CAN CURSE AGAIN. And also, Jesus will have returned from the dead and brought us Cadbury eggs. Hooray for Easter!

Thank you for (1) dying for our sins and all and (2) BEING BALLER AND AWESOME ENOUGH TO COME BACK FROM THE DEAD, officially making Christianity the religion with the amazingest story ever. Like, I'm sorry: you came back from the dead. It cannot be topped. I mean, maybe you can, being Jesus and all, but you'd have to try super, super hard.

So I went an entire day without checking my flist, (Okay, I lie. I read like, two posts of people and one OHINY) so now the flist is eaaaating me. If I missed anything important, let me know. Otherwise, I hope you all had a fabulous Easter!

I finished my paper at 4:45 last night and was juuuust shy of completely ten full pages, which will probably give me points off, but I think I should worry less about getting points off for coming up short than I should for, er, sucking immensely.

I had an okay time at home- as a family we actually played Taboo for the first time, which was awesome, and I got twenty-five (25!) Cadbury eggs in my easter basket, so, basically, I need nothing else in my life. I also got a sock monkey and a big Gator blanket that's living at home. I watched the first half of Volver, but I got too nervous about my paper and I need to finish it tonight. And then at some point I need to watch at least some Buffy and/or Alias because I am severely behind in watching Buffy and... and I need to see Alias. Although working out and watching some season four on my iPod is nice. I wish iTunes would get seasons 1-3 already. Or I could get my divids to transfer to my iPod.

It's grey and rainy and overall yucky, which sucks, because my hair looks fantastic, but I hope everyone has a nice Monday!
