In case you were wondering, EVERYTHING is more interesting than political theory. EVERYTHING. In the entire world. And I am not kidding.

But this time tomorrow, God willing, I will be almost home. And then on Sunday I'm going to NY/Connecticut to see Jess. Also... seriously, guys, do any of you know how to stage door or anything? Because I'm going to be in the same building as Jen, is there... a way to figure out how to possibly meet her? Really.

Um, can we discuss this brilliance, please?

(Um, yeah. Si, estoy estudiando para mi examen de EspaƱol. Claro.)

Remember how I said Monica made my left knee hurt? Well, it's pretty much recovered from whatever was ailing it, except for the odd twinge now and then. However, today I was going up the stairs and I... misjudged stairs I've been going up and down several times a day for a year in a half and totally tripped and slammed my right knee into the stair. I actually saw stars. In some miracle, I didn't like, destroy my kneecap and it doesn't really hurt. It does have two huge loooovely bruises though.

Also have a strong desire to do... ANYTHING BUT STUDY FOR SPANISH. Sigh.

Dear Thomas Aquinas,

I hate you. I hate you and I hate your pompous way of writing, and I hate what you think and I hate that I have to compare you to Plato and I hate that I put this off until the last minute and I hate that I have to write at least five pages comparing you two when CLEARLY ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS SUCKING UP TO GOD.

Hate! HAAAAATE,

Madi

Dear Political Theory,

I am not your biggest fan. Reading for the test I have on you this afternoon is tiring.

However, I do love Machiavelli hardcore. The man is to the point and doesn't pull any punches. "BAM. This is what you have to do. Booyah."

(I added the last parts myself.)

However, St Thomas Aquinas, you can go jump off a cliff.

And Plato? You are a silly man.

Not so much with the love,
Madi

I have a ten page paper due on Monday.

I'm going home this weekend. Plus, Easter.

So, an intelligent person might have started this paper, say, last Friday, gotten it done by Sunday night, and then turned it in to their TA by Monday so that they could get it proofed and get a stellar grade.

I'm not that smart. Although the idea did occur to me, so I have to get points there.

It really goes against basically everything I believe in to start a paper a week in advance especially since Sunday is just meant for panic. I finaaaally picked an article to base it on (polygamy FTW), but it's like everytime I entertain the idea of perhaps doing some research I'm all, "la la la, it's not due within 48 hours!" Or the ever popular, "OMG I haven't changed my icons in weeks! Must see to that, then."
Or, "ooh, know what I haven't done in a while? Vacuum. I cannot live with the dust that's been there for weeks any longer. It must get sucked up. NOW." Which is charming in its own clean way, but kind of annoying.

Also annoying? Solitaire. I am so good at that game it freaks me out.

And thanks to the lovely yet horrible [livejournal.com profile] scarlett7188, I've been singing "I'll Never Tell" for DAYS. DAYS, PEOPLE. And I haven't even seen the damn musical episode. Mostly because I'm stalled on Buffy because I keep thinking I shouldn't put it on and I had to watch Once and Again and I'd really like the damn song out of my head now, please.

ETA:... It's 67 outside. Yesterday it was in the 80s, today it's 67. Gainesville, what is up? It's not cool when I go outside to get my lunch and I'm shivering from lack of protective sweaters.

So, I have 159 words written, and that's about three-fourths of a page, so I only need two and a quarter more! Yay!

Instead I wrote fic earlier, and then went to have Thanksgiving dinner at the dining hall, and then we watched Betty and yeah. Highlight of that episode was Cesar, because nothing else was that good. But more on that later.

Now, for your personal joy, a link to my fic!
