1 - Leave a comment, saying you want to be interviewed.
2 - I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.
3 - You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4 - You'll include this explanation.
5 - You'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.
1. Which Battlestar Galactica dude would you most like to have take you to your senior prom? If you could time travel. And make the Bstar men real.
Originally, this was the easiest question- I chose Samuel T. Anders. He's really tall, really handsome, and I bet he smells delicious and would open doors and lean down to snark gently with me. However, I realized that I'd rather take Helo! Because while he is equally as tall and almost as handsome as Samders, he would probably spend the entire evening telling me how beautiful I looked, and how special I was, and how happy he was to be with me, and in a completely genuine way. And he'd totally be fun and want to dance and still be cool when I talked to my friends or whatever. And I bet he would buy me a really pretty corsage and have a matching buttoniere. I'd choose Lee over Helo looks-wise, but he'd probably be a douche, and I'm not model-like and/or slutty enough for Gaius.
2. If Gaius/Six and Sydney/Vaughn got in a fight for your heart, who would win?
A few months ago, when I was still hiding the truth from myself, I would've been like SYD AND VAUGHN, SYD AND VAUGHN!!!!! but now I have accepted the truth. I can say, proudly and without reservation or hesitation, that my heart belongs to Gaius/Caprica, and as an extension of that, Gaius/Red.
3. What's your favourite teen movie?
JUST ONE?! I'd probably go with Mean Girls or Ferris Bueller's Day Off, but I'm also incredibly fond of 10 Things I Hate about You and Clueless.
4. When was the last time you watched Moulin Rouge?
I can't even remember the last time. Right now it's sitting in my roommate's bedroom, because she was like, 'So I'm getting Moulin Rouge from Netflix' and I was like, are you mental? I own that.
5. What's the best book you've read recently?
I recently reread Alias Grace, and it was more amazing than I remembered, which is pretty tough to do. The story! And the details and the characters and MARGARET ATWOOD WHY ARE YOU SO AMAZING.

Date: 2010-05-08 09:36 pm (UTC)10 Things I Hate About You is probably the only teen movie I've seen that didn't really make me cringe, heh. (I had an abnormal teenage experience...those movies are like alien documentaries to me, usually.)

Date: 2010-05-08 09:47 pm (UTC)People I know often tell me that I "grew up on the moon" because I had this really idyllic high school experience, so I understand what you mean. I think the reason I love high school so much is because I can watch high school movies and be like, High School ♥ ♥ and watch these as documentaries, like you said.

Date: 2010-05-08 10:00 pm (UTC)I had a sort of backwards, mashed-together highschool experience that was part homeschooling and part college classes. Plus I was a loner. So there was no angst, no romantic swooning, nothing but studying and writing/reading for fun. It was idyllic for me, but archaic compared to the movie portrayal of teenage years. ;-)

Date: 2010-05-08 10:21 pm (UTC)Heh, my situation was kind of similar- I was in a kind of intense academic program, and I was basically cocooned with the 100-odd other kids in the same boat, so we knew everyone and there wasn't too much drama but lots of schoolwork and I was already an internet nerd so... yeah. Not at all like what high school is like in movies or on TV except for maybe Rory Gilmore's.
