New piece of advice, as learned through experience:

If you can avoid it, do not get the flu before a hurricane comes. This will only be an agonizing experience for one and all. I am the poster child for Day/NyQuil, except for I didn't rest and have a good morning. I had a miserable night and I kind of want to die of teh sick. Right now I am amazingly hot because my fever just broke, but in a few minutes I'll be freezing again. This has been happening all day. Meh.

Newest hurricane update is that it'll be around me 8 AM tomorrow, and we're under a hurricane warning. The nervous baking count is:

- 3 chocolate mousse pie things
- 1 Coconut Cake
- 1 poundcake
- 1 batch of chocolate chip cookies
- 1 Apple Pie

Ollie, where are you in reference to the cone of death?

Oh, I'm in it. Yep. About 40 miles southeast of Lake Okeechobee, there's little ol' Ollie yelling "CAN YOU PLEASE SEND MY GRANDFATHER TO ANOTHER BEDROOM SO I CAN WATCH ARSENIC AND OLD LACE!!?!?!??!"

In addition to the regular four occupants of mi casa, my grandparents, my mom's cousin and her daughter are here. I love them all to death. But, I had to give my bed up tonight to the grandparentals. And I can't watch Arsenic and Old Lace because my grandfather is stubbornly hogging the only TV in the house that gets TCM. And my sister and my mom's cousin's daughter are freaking out because of the possible tornadoes. They're kinda obnoxious. And my dad keeps calling (rather annoyingly so) coz he feels bad that he was in Daytona today and didn't help with the shutters. I just wanna yell, "ASS HOLE, LEAVE ME ALONE!!" Arghhh...

Hehe, hurricanes seem to be good for making people fat. There is so much junk food here! No apple pie tho... and actually, nothing that sounds appetizing. Last year, we had four additional people here! Milady and Yari weren't here, but my aunt, her husband, and 3 kids were, and so was my dad. Four sounds nice. Unless it's not nice, because there's less variety or something, lol.
