Woe Upon Your Cylon Heart!

It's kind of weird that the last two times I've started watching what would become my epic TV obsession, they've both been on memorable days. I started watching Alias on Christmas Eve- I remember because I didn't realize how long the pilot was, and I had to pause it before the end so that I could go to mass. (I later realized I stopped it like, a minute before the end, heh.)

Then with BSG, I started watching it the day of the finale. At least, I count that as my first day- I knew it was airing, and when it ended, I went to the wikipedia to see what had happened to the President and the Admiral that my friend Yubs was so into. Then I saw that SciFi SyFy was playing it again, so I put it on in the background. And it made me sob. I was doing my taxes and bawling over Lauroslin's tragic death when I started downloading the mini.

Which makes today my one year anniversary. :-D

So thanks, show, (and yubsie!) for all the joy, inside jokes, agony, icons, new friends, new fic and glory that the past twelve months have held.

In other news, I'm home! I also want to point out that, in true me fashion, because I am nothing if not predictable, every time I watch BSG again I love more and more people. The second time round it was Kara Anne Thrace, and this time it's the lovely Red, which I'm sure has something to do with dollsome's mad crazy adoration of her.

I decided that, you know, since I hadn't cried today, and because Yubs has been feeding me info about Lauroslin and Papadama on BSG for months, that I should watch the finale. So what am I doing on my Friday night? Filing my taxes and watching BSG. My life is on FIRE.

(Now I'm going to have to rent the damn series. All because I think Lauroslin looks like Lena Olin and because I am easily swayed into shipping. Crud.)

I had my orientation today for my new job! It looks like it should be really cool. And I have an opportunity to actually work and make money, which would be great.

Yesterday I went to Philly's and studied for five hours. Five, y'all. History and math. And I'm supposed to go to her house everyday this week to study because exams are the week after and oh man, are we in trooooouble.

I'm doing CAS. It's absolutely no fun at all.
