Post, in your journal, a rec list singling out the best of your own fics. Tell people why you are especially proud of those particular fics, and of course provide links to them. Yes, that's right, this step involves self-promotion. How else are people supposed to find your fics? List as many or as few as you feel appropriate to represent your body of writing.

Also include a paragraph about the types of fics you most enjoy reading or are most interested in reading in the immediate future -- favorite tropes, pairings, fandoms, whatever. If you're particularly lazy, link to that Dear Writer post you did for whatever holiday exchange comes to mind.

Reply to other rec posts (like for example the one you are reading now) by reccing a fic of your own that might fit the original poster's tastes, or that you'd just really like them to read, because maybe they don't know they'd like it.

This goes against everything I hold dear, to promote myself, but I'm going to give it a shot!

Types of fic that I like... well, I like anything that makes me feel something strongly, be it happiness or emotional destruction. I love stories about my ships, or the relationships I like- friendships and families. I love fics that fill in the gaps, or explain how things happened, or why things are the way they are. I love lots and lots of details and backstories. And I'm known for my fondness for cracky AUs.

Day 15 → A fanfic

I absolutely could not pick one. Also, it's a lot harder to me to find all the Alias fic I love, because when I first started reading it, I wasn't obsessive about keeping track of things. I mean, website archives were around forever, right? WRONG. Sometimes they disappeared, and took all the fic with it

Also, while compiling this list (namely, going to get the link for Jodhpur,) I found out that I favorited a BSG fic in 2007 on ff.n. And not just any BSG fic- a Gaius/Six BSG fic. In 2007. By an author who I have since seen on LJ, but I don't know her, and I didn't follow any of the other fandoms she wrote for on ff.n, and ESSENTIALLY THIS IS A BIG OLD MASSIVE MYSTERY and it is making me insane. HOW DID IT HAPPEN? Did I watch the entire series and then just forget it because I was... given selective amnesia? What is this nonsense!

For those of you who have seen HIMYM, you know the sound of Barney's voice when he hears that there is a second Robin Sparkles video? THAT IS THE SOUND I AM MAKING IN MY HEAD. MARITAL SPIES! JABRAMS!

My mind is warring between wanting it to cast Jen and Vartan so badly it hurts, or, for them just to say "fuck it, we're bringing in the class" and getting Victor and Lena. (Yes. I know these are all highly unrealistic and wildly fanciful. THIS IS WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF, PEOPLE. MY DREAMS ARE MADE OF MARRIED SPIES AND ACTORS I LOVE.)

Yes. I should be asleep. This is more important. SPIES + JJ + MY TV.

This is my second time doing this, since my first attempt was killed right before I got to Gilmore Girls in a power surge. Arg.

So, here's the thing about my watching of BSG: didn't plan it. Nope. Saw a Lena Olin doppelganger on Greys, commented to it to Yubs, and all of the sudden I am a Lauroslin fangirl and this extra super fan of Papadama/Lauroslin and that's pretty much my life now.

However, my netflix queue is all HEY WE GOTS SOME PROGRAMS FOR YOU TO WATCH, and they sent me disc one of 'In Treatment.' Which I totally wanted to watch, it's got Lauren Reed and Professor Baer from Little Women and I was like, um, what's not to like?

But dude. I don't know if it's just my mind protecting itself from intaking another entire cast of characters and backstories (because, man, the amount of TV shows I watch is frightening) but damn was it boring. It even started with Lauren's episode and I was still like "nothing... is... happening... WHY" even though the whole point is how it's a therapy session and it's all talk and hence the genius. But I felt tired at the idea of listening to Lauren's problems. Which is so not like me, I'm all PROBLEMS BRING THEM ON PLZ. (No, seriously, think about this. Sydney, troubles. Lauroslin, troubles of an unimaginable variety. HIMYM, Ted's douchebaggery. Buffy, Buffy's issues. Gilmore Girls, everyone having troubles. I LOVE DRAMA. And this I'm like, Lauren, why did you wait outside his office for five hours and not go home and wash your face?)

(Also, BSG makes me cry. Damn you Yubs!)

So, because my sister is still sick and my family doesn't want to get people ill, my extended family isn't coming over.

On the plus side, I'm... you know. Twenty-one and legal and I ordered a drink at lunch (this delicious pink lemonade thing) and then I went to an honest-to-God liquor store and purchased some liquor. Someone sold me liquor! There I got carded, not at the restaurant, sadly. But yeah.

THE GATORS ARE GOING TO THE BCS CHAMPIONSHIP! There is no end to my excitement!

So, I'm making a scarf for my spanish teacher because she's my favorite professor ever and this is the last time I'll have her and making a scarf is fun and I decided to be fancy and make it more than one color, and now I'm all terrified that it will turn out horrible because I am a spaz. A SPAZ!

Also, I have a french exam tomorrow- the one based on all the French texts I DIDN'T READ and instead I'm
- crocheting
- making brownies
- listening to ABBA's "Take a Chance on Me" which... AWESOME.
- doing memes!

And this is after spending the day with Ollie chatting and watching Alias and eating awesome food. I am productive as all get out.
